Casiopea and Friends was a concert held on April 7th, 1979 at Nakano Public Hall, notable for featuring several of the most well-known Japanese Fusion artists at the time as guests, which was especially significant considering the concert was before the band had even released a record. Guest musicians at the concert were: Jun Fukamachi (Keys), Akira Wada (Guitar), Kenji Omura (Guitar), Yoshihiro Naruse (Bass), and Shuichi "Ponta" Murakami (Drums).

Trivia

On the official concert flyer, guest drummer Ponta Murakami's name was incorrectly written as "ポンティー上村" (Ponty Kamimura). Noro jokes about this fact while announcing the concert live at Roppongi Pit Inn on February 26th, 1979:

(quote)[1]

In all images of this concert, Sakurai has a pick placed in between the body of his bass and pickguard, something that has occurred for every single photographed concert Casiopea has had with Kenji Omura as guest. Based on this fact, it's likely the band had performed atleast one picked Kenji Omura song (e.g Bamboo Bong), despite the setlist being unknown.
